The BAFTA TV Awards always provide an interesting show; in an attempt to parade against pop culture, BAFTA TV always seems to reject the popular for the underdog - perhaps, a bit on the pretentious side. Because was Peaky Blinders series four really better than The Crown? No, absolutely not - Peaky Blinders should have got their BAFTA much soon - but no matter, it's still an evening celebrating the best of British television, with all the nominees being exemplary examples of the power and artistry of modern television.
I'm quite pleased to see Daisy May Cooper and her fantastic brother, who took home two wins last night for their amazing program, This Country. As well as for Vanessa Kirby, who is just wonderful in The Crown. Like I said, did the pretentious nature of the BAFTA's rob The Crown of more wins -- yes, especially for my darling Claire Foy. But, hey ho, I suppose that's why I'm not a BAFTA member. Anyways, here's the full list of winners.
